Yesterday we were returning from Nashik to Pune late afternoon. After Ghargaon, next to newly opened Kamat Hotel, I stopped my car to capture this stunning Sunset.

Sunset at Tarkarli Beach, Malvan, Konkan

This Diwali, I went to my Native in Konkan. I was in my native for one week but we couldn't go out anywhere due to heavy rains in Konkan. On thursday, rains took some halt and we finally decided to go to Tarkarli Beach which is around 25KMs from my home.

Tarkarli Beach is next to Malvan, Sindhudurga. You have to take left turn from the Malvan bus stand and its around 6 KM from there. Its a beautiful beach with white soft sand. You just cannot enjoy it in one day.
Government of Maharashtra and MTDC has started lot of tourism activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving on this beach to promote tourism. This is a very safe beach and one can even see dolfins, if you are lucky.

After rains, this spider net was loaded with tiny water drops, as if this rich spider is netting pearls.

After saving themselves from rains, these pigeons were cleaning themselves and were getting ready for the new flight.

Sky over Pune - June 2010

These monsoon days, Sky over Pune is very dramatic during mornings and evenings. Captured some sky from my terrace.

Last weekend I tested my Sigma 70-300 APO DG  Macro in my terrace. Took some flower closeups and macros handheld. Sharing them with you here.

Vengurle Beach

Last month, we got an opportunity to visit my native in Konkan function. During the stay, we went to Sagareshwar, Vengurle Beach in the evening. Sharing few shots taken on Vengurle Beach.

The sun was setting, but the sky was cloudy and light was low. My son, Pranav was enjoying, playing on the beach. He calls sea as "Face-Nadi" (Foam river). I was watching him playing in the water. He threw sand on Prashant and was running back as Prashant was trying to catch him. I could not resist to sit in the water and capture this moment.

These childrens were playing in the sand and that reminded me of my childhood memories, when we use to visit Juhu beach, when I was a kid.

First Rain..

Monsoon has arrived, and this time in time.. as per predictions by  Indian Meteorological Department :D

Last week it showered heavily in Pune. I could manage to capture the drops of first rains.
